...Established in 1991 by his Holiness Kaikala Pandit Samaj had been importing instructions in couress prescribed by 'Vangiya Sanskrita Siksha Parishad' leading to the title of 'Kavyatirtha' etc declared as equivalent to Master's Degree in Sanskrit. It started courses like Prathama (VI - VII), Purba Madhyama (S.F.), Uttar madhyama / Prakshastri (H.S.), Shastri (B.A), Acharya (M.A) approved by Sampurnanand Sanskrit University was pleased to declare this wing at the Institution as 'Kaikala Adarsha Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya', under the relevant scheme of the Ministry paying the path, thereby for emergence of a strong centre of excellence in Indological studies in Kaikala, Hooghly, West Bengal. The Department of Higher Education Govt. of West Bengal has declared the equivalence of Shastri and Acharya degrees with B.A. and M.A. degree perspectively awarded by the general university system and has recommended to the W.B. School Service Commission to consider Holders of Shastri and Acharya degrees as equivalent to the holders of B.A. (Hons) & M.A. degrees for the purpose of higher studies and employment.
